Constipation Relief Medicinal Tea

Specialty blends work best as decoctions rather than infusions (boiled rather than steeped). 

1. Add 1 1/2 - 2 tsps of blend to 2 cups of water.
2. Bring to a boil then simmer for 5 - 10 minutes.
3. Remove from heat and allow to steep for an additional 10 minutes before straining.
4. The longer you allow it to simmer/steep, the more potent this tea will be.

 

NOTE: Don't throw out the herbs after first use! You can add another 1 1/2 cups of water and simmer to make an additional cup of tea.

senna leaf is especially useful for weight loss. It helps relieve constipation that often occurs in a low-fiber diet, it helps increase fluid intake and it helps eliminate toxins and undigested food in the colon. Her antibacterial properties can help treat dermatological or skin diseases. Senna has also been shown to be effective in relieving nausea, flatulence, bloating, and belching associated with dyspepsia.

Ceylon cinnamon provide digestive support helping with gas, bloating, nausea, indigestion, stabilize blood sugar levels, digestive upset, H. pylori and helps to stimulate circulation.

 

spearmint, similar to peppermint, offers many benefits to the digestive system. Spearmint also helps to pass blockages in the kidney and gallbladder, strengthens the nervous system, cleanses and tones the body while promoting relaxation and relieving muscle spasms.
