Chronic Toxicity Medicinal Tea

Specialty blends work best as decoctions rather than infusions (boiled rather than steeped). 

1. Add 1 1/2 - 2 tsps of blend to 2 cups of water.
2. Bring to a boil then simmer for 5 - 10 minutes.
3. Remove from heat and allow to steep for an additional 10 minutes before straining.
4. The longer you allow it to simmer/steep, the more potent this tea will be.

 

NOTE: Don't throw out the herbs after first use! You can add another 1 1/2 cups of water and simmer to make an additional cup of tea.

dandelion root (wild-harvested), burdock root + yellow dock root

Dandelion root (wild-harvested) is loaded with antioxidants, reduces fluid retention, provides potassium, calcium and iron. Yellow dock root is a blood purifier, great detoxifier for the liver, stimulates bile production which helps with digestion, stimulates bowel movement, removes lingering wastes from the intestinal tract, eliminates toxins through urination. This herb helps cleanse, purify and build up the blood along with toning the entire system. It is high in vitamin C and one of the richest sources of iron, making it one of the best blood builder herbs around. It has been used since ancient times to treat "bad blood", especially related to chronic skin issues. Yellow Dock is also an excellent cleanser of the lymphatic system and contains bitter compounds that act as a mild laxative, increasing the production of digestive fluids and enzymes, especially bile.
