Glow-Up Tea, Hair Rinse

There's nothing better than a multi-use product. Glow-Up not only offers amazing benefits when consumed, but also, when applied topically. Check out out how to prepare a Glow-Up hair rinse below!


Ingredients

4 tbsp. Glow-Up tea

2 cups distilled water


Instructions

  1. Bring water to a low boil.

  2. Add in tea and boil on low for 15 mins.

  3. Remove from heat and let cool.

  4. Just before you use your tea rinse, wash hair with shampoo and towel dry lightly – leaving it damp.

  5. Distribute the rinse throughout your hair and scalp with spray bottle.

  6. Cover your hair with a cap or old towel for around 30 minutes.

  7. Rinse hair with cold water.


Note: It is not necessary to shampoo. However, feel free to condition.


Why distilled water? Distilled water is free from any hard mineral build up or harsh chemicals often found in tap water leaving hair shinier and healthier.


Benefits

Sea buckthorn berries protects cells from oxidative damage and aids in collagen production, promotes hair strength, growth and elasticity.


Horsetail is rich in natural silicon which naturally strengthens the hair, helps prevent split ends and increases shine.


Oatstraw is rich in silica which helps with preventing thinning hair. Oat straw also helps to reduce itchiness and dandruff.


Comfrey root is rich in gamma linoleic acid, which helps stimulate hair growth.


Nettle leaf keeps the scalp in good health.


Calendula hydrates dry scalps, reduces dandruff, and improves the condition of the scalp. With its regenerative properties it helps the hair follicles grow abundantly allowing for a thicker mane, and the antioxidants help protect the hair and scalp against cell-damaging free radicals.


Lemon peels helps to clarify hair color as it regulates the pH, eliminates dead cells and stimulates hair growth.


Orange peels help to cleanse the scalp.


Rose petals improves blood circulation to the scalp which promotes hair growth, cleanses the scalp by getting rid of extra sebum and dead skin cells, helps to keep the hair and scalp hydrated, adds shine and volume to hair.


Hibiscus helps to rehydrate the keratin fibers and regenerates its structure. The mucilage content makes hibiscus a great conditioner, detangler and creates a film around the hair which supports body and shine.
